HAIL TO THE CHIEF!

Yesterday, 20 January, 2009 marks the beginning of a new era.....President Barrack Obama was sworn in as our 44th president! What a wonderful ceremony ... They are a wonderful looking family...first Lady Michelle and first daughters...I pray that their experience as our nation's first family is a positive one. I am a member of several online yahoo groups and in one of them I was asked if I had the money to buy anything what would I buy....well, I would buy that "thing" which would make us all see each other as cherished brothers and sisters...we would care for each other in such a fashion that when threatened by any outside source such as large meteorites, other crashing planets, black holes swallowing up galaxies, and things that none of us know about yet....well, we would all stop simultaneously and identify the object threatening the life of our planet and stop it...in some cases hold it in place until it can be redirected. We would live in such a fashion that no one would ever go hungry...You get the idea....I am sure that God really intended us to live in a peaceful fashion...When we take care of our planet, it could be a paradise....yes I am aware that the earth itself has a volatile inner core....putting our minds together would probably produce long term solutions to all of our problems. Perhaps, the reasons that our nation voted for President Obama because his life has represented a person who seeks and has worked and will continue to work with the best interest of us all in mind. I pray that President Obama will bring about a positive change not only affecting the citizens here, but worldwide... those are some of my thoughts...

UNA GRAN ARTISTA!

I am having trouble with my picture/printer/camera....so no pics!!! Today I received the most beautiful doll from Kate Erbach....She is called Blush and she arrived with a beautiful African wall doll....Kate is a great artist and is very talented and extremely generous doll artist and I am happy to call her my friend. She also sent me so much valuable information in numerous patterns and such. Thank you Kate!!! You are one in a million!!!

UPDATE! UPDATE! HERE IS BLUSH Isn't she a beauty!!!!!! Esma is a name of the African beauty....thanks again!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year.....Its 2009.....I pray for an end to the conflicts worldwide....
To finish out the year, here are some pictures of Khristina and her husband Glen. They are from Australia and are on a driving tour of the USA stopping at sites across the country. In each of the places they revisit old friends and make new ones. I am a new friend! They are lovely people and I wish them a safe journey as they are off to Canada and then back across the USA to their starting point in California where they will be travel homeward. While here in Philadelphia, another member of the yahoo group (Dianne and her girlfriend AnnaMarie )and I (along with my children) joined Khris and Glen at the Liberty Bell and Independence Mall Complex in Center City Philadelphia where we took in the sites.
